Owen GuySoil Scientist
Owen (BsAgr (Hons)) is part of SESLs Soil Science team with field experience in soil surveying and assessment for agricultural suitability. Owen comes from an agriculture background and developed his knowledge of soil chemistry and physics through his studies. He is especially interested in the interactions of soil physical and chemical characteristics with specific cropping and landscape application. Owen also has laboratory experience in environmental testing, grains assessment and repurposing on-farm waste from both agricultural and horticultural sources.
Owen has worked on a range of projects involving the specification and validation of on-site and imported soils in order to achieve beneficial and functional re-use. He has also assisted in the development of revegetation plans and site-specific soil amendment plans for specific locations and plant species.
