Site Investigations
SESL’S team of Environmental Scientists conduct site investigations to assess environmental impacts from natural and human activities.
Preliminary Site Investigations (often referred to as Phase 1 investigations) identify the potential for contamination to exist at a site for regulatory compliance, due diligence, property acquisition, development application approvals and site rezoning.
Detailed Site Investigations (often referred to as Phase 2 investigations) are undertaken to delineate any contamination present at a site through field measurements and the sampling and analysis of surface and groundwater, soils and soil vapour.
Using the information obtained in site-specific contamination assessments, such as those listed above, SESL can prepare Remedial Action Plans to either remove, contain, treat, or manage harmful substances to ensure the site is suitable for the intended use without posing unacceptable risks to human health or the environment.
